Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender, Corey Panter, following his departure from Luton Town FC.

The 21-year-old joins the Spitfires following a successful trial period at the club and becomes Lee Bradbury’s eighth new signing of the summer window.

Panter is a product of Luton’s academy, having spent over ten years in the Hatters’ set-up with loan spells at Scottish Premiership side Dundee and National League North side Kidderminster Harriers.

Speaking after penning his Spitfires contract, Corey Panter said:

“It’s been a good few weeks on trial, I’m buzzing to be here and I feel like I’ve settled right into the mix of things.

I came into my trial period with open eyes, the standard in games and training has been good and that’s what we’re hoping for the rest of the season.”

When asked to describe himself as a player the English defender said:

“Confident on the ball, but I don’t mind putting a tackle in. I always try to be aggressive when defending.

“Week in and week out I’ll try and do my best for the team, whether I’m playing or supporting the lads from the bench. This season I want to play as much as I can and help the team finish as high up the table as possible.”

Eastleigh Manager, Lee Bradbury, added:

“We’re delighted to get this one over the line, Corey impressed us massively since the first day he arrived as a trialist in pre-season.

“He’s going to add some extra pace, energy, and versatility to the defence for us.”

The signing of Corey Panter is subject to FA and National League approval.
