The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action as we face Oldham Athletic under the lights at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday 27th February, with a kick-off time of 19:45pm.
Eastleigh:
The Spitfires faced high-flyers Bromley last time out, in a televised clash at the Silverlake Stadium.
Goals from Scott Quigley and Paul McCallum earned them the three points and an impressive defensive display was enough for our first clean sheet of 2024.
The Spitfires have won both games that new manager, Kelvin Davis has taken charge of.
The first of those wins came up in Oxford last Tuesday, and the Spitfires soared to a 5-2 win against Oxford City at the RAW Charging Stadium.
Oldham Athletic:
Tonight’s visitors have not won in either of their last two games, with their most recent result being a 2-1 defeat against Kidderminster Harriers at Boundary Park.
Nathan Sheron was the scorer of their only goal that day.
Their game before that was a 1-1 draw away to York City, Mike Fondop’s 61st minute opener was cancelled out by William Davies just nine minutes later.
The Lactic’s currently occupy one of the play-off spots, they sit in seventh place with a tally of 53 points.
Previous meetings:
When the sides met earlier in the season, Chris Maguire scored a penalty during the first-half of what ended as a 1-1 draw at Boundary Park.
