The Spitfires are back at the Silverlake Stadium for the third consecutive game, as they take on Woking on Tuesday 24th October, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm.

Eastleigh:

The hosts are looking for a third straight win, having seen off Dover Athletic and York City in their last two outings.

A screamer from Chris Maguire opened the scoring for Eastleigh against the Minstermen before Paul McCallum doubled the lead on the hour mark.

York pulled one back a few minutes later through Callum Howe, but McCallum sealed the win, and his brace, in the 76th minute, as the Spitfires won 3-1.

Woking:

The visitors had a hugely impressive season last year, finishing 4th in the National League, before losing to Bromley in the play-offs.

This season has been tougher for the Surrey side and they currently sit 13th in the table, having lost four of their last five league fixtures.

The Cardinals suffered late heartbreak at the weekend when they travelled to Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League.

Josh Rees put the Daggers ahead in the 25th minute before Reece Grego-Cox equalised for Woking three minutes later.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Tunji Akinola was sent off in the 66th minute.

Woking looked to have done enough to secure a hard-fought point before their former striker Inih Effiong popped up with a late winner deep into stoppage time for the hosts.

Previous Meetings:

The Spitfires have enjoyed recent meetings against Woking, having won four of the last five games between the two sides.

Last season, they played each other three times, twice in the league and once in the FA Trophy.

In the first meeting of the season, Eastleigh suffered a 1-0 defeat away to the Cardinals, with Jahmari Clarke scoring the only goal of the game.

Two months later, the Spitfires gained revenge for that defeat, with a 2-0 win away to Woking in the FA Trophy, thanks to goals from JJ McKiernan and Danny Whitehall.

In the home league fixture last season, Eastleigh won 1-0, courtesy of a second half goal from Vincent Harper.
