Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender, John Oyenuga, following his departure from Farnborough.

The 27-year-old joins the Spitfires following a successful trial period earlier in pre-season, and becomes Lee Bradbury’s tenth new signing of the summer window.

Oyenuga joins Eastleigh after spending three seasons at Farnborough, helping ‘Boro earn promotion to the National League South in the 2021/22 season.

He previously spent time at Connah’s Quay and Westfield FC as he has steadily risen up the football pyramid.

Speaking after penning his Spitfires contract, John Oyenuga said:

“It feels good, I’m delighted. Delighted to finally get the deal over the line.

“I just had a talk with the gaffer and came to an agreement on a deal and everything just fell in place.”

Lee Bradbury added his thoughts about the new signing:

“I think John will give us added versatility to the squad. He’s comfortable at left-back, left wing-back, right-back, right wing-back and attacking positions as well.

“He’s quick, he’s strong, his intelligence of the game is good and he will be a welcome addition. He knows the group having spent time with us and we’re delighted to have got the deal over the line.”

The signing of John Oyenuga is subject to FA and National League approval.
