Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce that Kelvin Davis has signed a new, three-year deal with the Spitfires following the conclusion of the 2023/24 National League campaign.

The new deal will see Davis remain as the first-team manager until the end of the 2026/27 season, continuing the work he has already started with the aim of building a long-term project with the club.

During his initial tenure, the 47-year-old secured 20 points in 13 games including five clean sheets, four of which came in consecutive away wins.

Danny Butterfield will support Davis as he remains at the club as the first-team assistant manager.

Upon the deal being completed, Chairman Stewart Donald said:

“We are delighted Kelvin and Danny have agreed to join us. Clearly, we have had a period working together and it clear that there is a huge desire from both Kelvin and Danny to bring success to Eastleigh.

It represents the start of a new era for the club and we very much see this as a long term appointment.

Kelvin has a clear vision of how we need to progress the football club and deliver long term success.

I am extremely excited for the future of the club and the supporters will have a massive role to play. It’s crucially important that the we are all in this together during this new project!

Securing Kelvin and Danny for an initial three years shows our confidence in them and their ability to deliver for Eastleigh FC.”

After signing the new deal, Kelvin Davis said:

“It’s really important to understand that the project at Eastleigh FC is a big one and one we’re really excited to get our teeth into. Myself and Danny [Butterfield] have seen the potential since we’ve come into the club.

Every time I’ve been coming to the club, it’s taking steps forward each time that I’m in the environment. It’s great that we can be part of the future of the football club and hopefully build something that can progress in the years to come.”

Upon being asked about the importance of Danny Butterfield, Kelvin Davis said:

“Anyone that’s worked with Danny knows his passion for the game, his passion to improve players, and his passion to improve the team is immense.

He’s a wonderful asset to myself and now to the club. We’ve shown that we work well as a partnership and with Jason Bristow and Vince Bartram. We hope to add one or two members of staff as well which highlights the club’s openness to make steps forward.”

We will provide further updates regarding the playing squad for next season in imminently.
