Lee Bradbury has confirmed to his players that Aaron Martin will be Eastleigh FC’s new Club Captain.

“He’s a born leader. A born organiser. He talks well. He’s come in from a league team that got promoted to League One last year,” Bradbury said in a glowing tribute to Martin, who played for Eastleigh as a youngster from 2003 to 2009.

“He’s played a lot of games and I believe that he’s at an age where he knows the game and he knows what to expect and demand from the players too.

“He’s a local lad that knows what the club wants to achieve and he wants to help us do that.”

Buzzing with the decision, Martin himself said: “It means everything to me. This is where my career started so to come back and now be club captain is a massive privilege and I can’t wait to get started.”

Aaron Martin has his first league game as skipper against Wrexham on Saturday afternoon.
