Our 2025/26 Isuzu FA Trophy journey continues on Tuesday 13 January 2026. Following last weekend’s victory at Boston United, the Spitfires’ attention turns to the FA Trophy fourth round as they host Southport. Kick-off is at 7:45pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires head into Tuesday evening’s game with Southport off the back of a six game unbeaten streak thanks to victories over Aldershot Town in the FA Trophy and Gateshead and Boston United in the National League, alongside 1-1 draws against both Woking and Yeovil Town, respectively.

At the Silverlake this season, Scott Bartlett’s side have played 13 matches and recorded five wins and three draws with the FA Trophy game against the Sandgrounders another opportunity to make the Silverlake a difficult place for opposition teams to visit.

The Spitfires currently sit 14th in the National League on 31 points following eight victories and seven draws so far this season. The gap to the play-offs is ten points whilst the gap to the relegation zone is eight points.

Southport:

The Sandgrounders head into this evening’s cup tie following a difficult festive period where they picked up just three points from a possible 15 since the FA Trophy Third Round on Saturday 13 December.

Neil Dann’s side have struggled in the National League North this season and currently find themselves in a relegation battle as they sit 19th in the standings, just two points above the drop zone.

The Sandgrounders have recorded just six wins all season in all competitions, with half of them coming on the road against Oxford City, Buxton and Hereford respectively. Tuesday night’s clash with the Spitfires will be a tough test for Neil Dann’s side but will provide an opportunity for a potential cup upset and another victory on the road this season.
