The 2025/26 Enterprise National League season continues on Saturday 3rd January 2026. After an unbeaten December 2025, the Spitfires start the new year on the road as they travel to Lincolnshire to take on Boston United. Kick-off is at 3pm.

Boston United:

The Pilgrims struggled over the festive period as they were knocked out of the FA Trophy on penalties away at Tamworth, were defeated by both Aldershot Town and Brackley Town respectively and held promotion chasers York City to a 2-2 draw on Boxing Day.

Graham Coughlan’s side have won just six times since they travelled to the Silverlake in late August and as a result find themselves in a potential relegation fight in 18th position just two points above the relegation zone.

At the Jakemans Community Stadium this season, the Pilgrims have won just twice and drawn a further two matches from their 12 home league games. The side have, however, picked up home victories in the National League Cup against Middlesbrough U21s, Leeds United U21s and Sunderland U21s respectively.

Eastleigh:

After a successful end to 2025 thanks to two victories and two draws, the Spitfires will be looking to push on as 2026 gets underway as they aim to challenge for the play-off places with Saturday’s trip to Lincolnshire an opportunity to continue the unbeaten streak.

Scott Bartlett’s side have picked up 28 points so far this season thanks to seven wins and seven draws from their 24 league games which leaves them 14th in the table and 13 points adrift of the play-off places.

On the road in recent weeks, the Spitfires have picked up valuable points against Carlisle United, Gateshead and Yeovil Town respectively and Saturday’s visit to the Jakemans Community Stadium is an excellent chance to pick up some more crucial points.

Bartlett’s Pre-Match Thoughts:

Bartlett: “They [Boston] will be really hard working and really organised so we know we’ve got to be at our very best to get something from the game but we are going there in a positive frame of mind.”
