The 2025/26 Enterprise National League season continues on Saturday 15th November. The Spitfires face one of their longest away days of the season as they travel to Brunton Park to take on Carlisle United. Kick-off is at 3:03pm to promote the non-leagues 3UP campaign.
Carlisle United:
Having spent several years in the football league, Carlisle were relegated to the National League at the end of last season following their 3-2 defeat away at Cheltenham Town in the penultimate game of the season.
The Blues have started this season in flying form and are currently top of the National League table on 39 points. Picking up 12 wins, three draws and just three defeats from their opening 18 matches.
The Cumbrian side are unbeaten in their past eight matches in all competitions having won seven out of eight with their last defeat being on the 27th of September against Rochdale.
Eastleigh:
The Spitfires head into Saturday’s game on the back of three consecutive defeats in all competitions, having lost to Walsall in the FA Cup, and both Sutton United and York City in the league.
Eastleigh’s form away from home has been below what they are striving towards, picking up just two wins from nine games. They will be looking to improve on this at Brunton Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Spitfires currently sit in 13th in the league standings and are seven points adrift from the play-off positions so Saturday’s game in the North-West will be a good opportunity to close the gap on the play-off places.
Bartlett’s Pre-Match Thoughts:
Bartlett: “We’ll be as prepared as we can be to face a really good team in a tough environment, but these are the games that you want to play in as a player.
“It’s a really good game against a really good team but we can go there without any fear. We’ve got nothing to lose.”
