Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce the arrival of striker Ciaran McGuckin from Rotherham United on loan until January.
McGuckin is a Northern Ireland youth international and came through Rotherham’s academy having joined at a young age. He made his senior debut for Rotherham in October 2021 during an EFL Trophy match. Since turning professional in April 2022, he has had several loan spells to gain experience in senior football, including time at Scarborough Athletic, Dundalk, and Yeovil Town.
During his most recent spell with Yeovil Town, McGuckin scored three goals in seven appearances before being recalled by Rotherham, and then returned to Yeovil on loan for the remainder of the season.
After getting the deal done, First-Team Manager Scott Bartlett commented: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to get Ciaran through the door. I think he has plenty to add to our group.
Ciaran is a brilliant signing for us and a perfect fit. He is a sharp striker with excellent work ethic and movement. He was excellent last season at Yeovil with Chris Todd and is highly regarded.”
