Eastleigh Football Club are thrilled to announce the permanent signing of Kieron Evans following his departure from Cardiff City!

After fighting off competition from EFL clubs, we are delighted to announce this signing as a signal of intent for the upcoming National League campaign.

A technical, dynamic midfielder, Evans emerged through Cardiff City’s Academy, first joining at under-8 level before making his senior debut on September 12, 2021 in a Championship fixture against Nottingham Forest. He has since gained valuable experience during loan spells in the UK football pyramid.

The 23-year-old first ventured into senior football with a loan move to Linfield in January 2022, before stepping up to the National League with Torquay United for the 2022/23 campaign, where he featured regularly, making 36 league appearances and scoring twice. He then turned in a memorable second half of the 2023/24 season at Gateshead, contributing three goals and playing a vital role in their FA Trophy victory at Wembley.

In summer 2024, Evans penned a new deal with Cardiff City before embarking on a season-long loan to Newport County in League Two. Kieron made his Exiles debut on 24 August 2024 and quickly found the net in the EFL Trophy on 3 September against Cheltenham Town.

Kieron Evans joins us on Tuesday 1 July, once his contract with Cardiff City expires.
