The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we host Ebbsfleet United at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday 4th March, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires come into this one off the back of a defeat against Braintree Town at the weekend. After going four games unbeaten, the Spitfires travelled to Essex. But, a third minute strike from Marshall Marley-Miranda would bring an end to that streak.

During the unbeaten run prior to the Braintree result, the Spitfires had beaten Aldershot Town, Dagenham & Redbridge and Boston United, and then drew with Gateshead thanks to a last minute equaliser from Jake Taylor.

With every team between fourth and eleventh in the league all failing to win their games, the Spitfires remained in eighth position in the table.

Ebbsfleet United:

This evening’s visitors have picked up a couple of eye catching results recently. They have drawn with a strong Forest Green Rovers side, and also drew with play-off chasing Rochdale within their last five games.

In their most recent outing, the Fleet hosted Tamworth. They went 1-0 up early on, but would concede three within a five minutes period just before half time. They were only able to pull one goal back in the second-half, and went on to lose.

Ebbsfleet sit at the bottom of the table, and have not won since September, with that result being the only time they have picked up three points this season.

Ebbsfleet United’s last five results:

01/03/25 | Ebbsfleet United 2-3 Tamworth | VNL

Previous meetings:

The most recent meeting between the two sides came back in November, with Scott Quigley capitalising on a mistake to bag the only goal of the game, meaning the Spitfires would travel back from Kent with three points.

The last time this evening’s teams met at the Silverlake Stadium, Paul McCallum scored a hat trick, as the Spitfires earned a 5-2 win over the Fleet.
