The Spitfires are back at the Silverlake Stadium for some more Vanarama National League action, as we host Altrincham on Saturday 18th January, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires come into this one off the back of an impressive win against Solihull Moors at the ARMCO Arena in the week.

A first-half goal from Tyrese Shade, and a big defensive performance earned the Spitfires a win and a clean sheet in Birmingham. The win extended the Spitfires’ unbeaten run to 11 games on the trot.

Last time out at the Silverlake Stadium, Eastleigh drew with Oldham Athletic, with goals coming from Ludwig Francillette and Richard Brindley that day.

The win during the week bumped the Spitfires back into the top ten in the Vanarama National League standings.

Altrincham:

This afternoon’s visitors have only lost in two out of their last ten games in all competitions. During this stretch of games, they have failed to win in any of their three road trips.

During the week, the Robins earned a big win over Maidenhead United, beating them 4-0 at the J Davidson Stadium.

Alex Newby managed to find the back of the net three times during the convincing victory.

The Greater Manchester side are sat just one place above the Spitfires in the league standings, due to them having a better goal difference.

The Spitfires have not lost to Altrincham on home soil in any of the last five meetings between the two sides at the Silverlake Stadium.
