A late goal from Fylde means that the Spitfires are forced to settle for a point on their travels.
The hosts had the lead going into the break, before Tyrese Shade grabbed a brace into the second-half to give the Spitfires the lead.
Deep into stoppage time, Danny Ormerod found the back of the net for the home side, meaning the points would be shared.
Just seconds into the game, the Spitfires looked set to take the lead. Scott Quigley found himself through on goal, and his attempt to square the ball across the face of goal was met low by Ben Winterbottom in the Fylde goal, who pushed his pass away from danger.
Following the early chance, it took over 20 minutes for either side to create any other big goal scoring opportunities. The next chance of the game came for the home side, with Jon Ustabasi curling a shot just wide from the edge of the box.
Quigley had the Sptfires’ first shot on target in the 24th minute, with a close-range header that was gathered by Winterbottom. Not so long later, Tyrese Shade burst down the left wing and tested Winterbottom again.
Jake Taylor was forced to make a goal line clearance in the 32nd minute, to deny the home side from finding the back of the net with a headed effort.
Fylde would go on to take the lead of the game right on the stroke of half-time, with Charlie Jolley chopping the ball inside before curling it past Joe McDonnell.
Following the break, the Spitfires came back out with a point to prove. Tyrese Shade quickly equalled the scoring, with a shot from the edge of the box that he looped into the right side of the goal.
Ustabasi attempted to restore the home sides lead quite quickly after the equaliser, after meeting a corner with his head. His shot however, went just wide of the target.
Ethan Mitchell came even closer to getting the lead back for the hosts in the 74th minute. He looked set to score after the ball was slipped back into his path, but he scuffed his shot and was not able to direct it home.
These misses were punished by Shade with just over ten minutes to go. A misplaced pass meant that Shade found himself with the ball at his feet in the Fylde third, before he slotted the ball home into the bottom left corner to give the Spitfires the lead of the game.
Haughton curled a free kick towards goal, with a late attempt to salvage a point, but could not find the target.
Substitute, Danny Ormerod did then go on to score, deep into injury-time to earn a late point for the home side.
