The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we make the long trip up to Lancashire to face AFC Fylde at Mill Farm on Saturday 14th December, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

AFC Fylde:

This afternoon’s hosts picked up a win during the week against Ebbsfleet United, with Charlie Jolley and Jonathan Ustabaşı both finding the back of the net during the 2-0 win at Mill Farm.

The win that day snapped a four game losing streak for the Coasters, with three of those defeats coming in league games.

Nick Haughton has been Fylde’s danger man so far this season, and has netted 12 times in 20 Vanarama National League appearances.

Eastleigh:

During the week, the Spitfires progressed in the Isuzu FA Trophy. A Tuesday night trip up to the capital ended with Chris Maguire slotting the ball home from the spot to give the Spitfires a 2-1 lead over their opponents.

This made it back to back wins, with the Spitfires also winning in their most recent league game against Ebbsfleet United.

A goal from Scott Quigley just after the hour mark gave the Spitfires a lead that they would not lose, on their trip to Kent.

Quigley has scored two goals in as many games since his return from suspension.

Previous meetings:

The two sides met right at the beginning of the season at the Silverlake Stadium. The Spitfires came out on top that day, with Paul McCallum scoring twice, and Jake Taylor and Chris Maguire both also finding themselves on the scoresheet during the 4-2 win.

The last time the two teams met at Mill Farm, the Spitfires were the winning side again. McCallum and Taylor were both on the scoresheet again in that one.
