Eastleigh Football Club is proud to give an update on one its latest community initiatives, spreading festive cheer by donating to local foodbanks in support of families and individuals in need this Christmas season.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the Eastleigh community, the club has partnered with Eastleigh Basics Bank to provide essential supplies and seasonal treats to those who may be struggling during the holidays.

This effort was made possible thanks to the generous contributions of our players, staff, fans, and our local community.

We helped donate over 400 tinned cans, 25KG worth of pasta and spaghetti, 100 toiletry items, 50 boxes of cereal, amongst various other items.

“Supporting Our Community”

Speaking about the initiative, Josh Nace, Community Officer said: “At Eastleigh FC, we understand the importance of giving back to the community that supports us throughout the year. The holiday season can be a difficult time for many, and we hope this contribution helps bring some comfort and joy to families in need. We are incredibly proud of everyone who played a part in this effort and look forward to continuing supporting our local community in the new year!”

A Team Effort

Players, staff and our academy came together to personally deliver the donations to the foodbank earlier this week, meeting the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to support those in need. The team also took the opportunity to learn more about how the foodbank operates and how they can continue to assist throughout the year.

Fans also played a significant role in the donation drive, with collections held at recent home games at Silverlake Stadium. The outpouring of generosity from our supporters has been overwhelming and demonstrates the true spirit of the Eastleigh FC family.

We held a food drive at our local ASDA, in which customers donated items whilst shopping; we had a lot of success during our food drive, and this shows how generous our local community really is.

We would also like to make a special mention to our directors, associate directors, and walking footballers who all made financial contributions in support of this initiative!

Throughout the new year, Eastleigh FC will continue to hold drop off dates where items can be donated, in the run up to the date, at our designated drop off point on site at the Silverlake Stadium.
