The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we make the long trip up to County Durham to face Hartlepool United on Saturday 16th November, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

Hartlepool United:

This afternoon’s hosts lost to York City last time out, following a hectic end to the game at the LNER Community Stadium.

Going into the last five minutes, Hartlepool were 3-1 down. The game ended with York City winning 5-3, with Hartlepool’s two late goals being matched by the league leaders.

They came out on top in their last game, as they hosted Aldershot Town at the Prestige Group Stadium.

With Emmanuel Dieseruvwe scoring a brace against the Hampshire side, Hartlepool also kept a clean sheet on their way to a 2-0 win.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires were beaten by Braintree Town last time out. Tyrese Shade scored his second goal of the season early on, before the visitors turned the game around in the second-half.

A late own goal, meant that the Spitfires would go on to lost that one.

Two weeks before that, it was the Spitfires who managed to score late on. Chris Maguire scored a penalty deep into stoppage time to snatch a point against Boston United.

Previous results:

The last time the two sides met was at the Silverlake Stadium, in March this year.

A tightly contested match saw Maguire slam home a penalty late on, to snatch a point for the Spitfires in that one.
