The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we make the short trip up the M3 to the EBB Stadium to face Aldershot Town on Saturday 19th October, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

Aldershot Town:

The Shots have failed to win in their last seven league games, with their most recent win coming back in August against Maidenhead United.

In their most recent outing, they beat National League South side, Bath City, 2-1 at the EBB Stadium in an FA Cup Fourth-Qualifying round tie.

Last time out in the league, the Shots made the long trip up to Lancashire to face AFC Fylde, and were beaten 5-2 at Mill Farm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires will be looking to bounce back from their defeat against Southend United in the FA Cup last weekend.

A goal deep into injury-time from Aribim Pepple saw the Spitfires exit the competition following a tightly contested game at the Silverlake Stadium.

Last time out in the league, the Spitfires took on high-flying Forest Green Rovers, and were beaten 3-1.

After 13 games, the Spitfires sit in 7th place in the league, and have a tally of 21 points.

Previous meetings:

The Spitfires have had the better time of it in recent meetings between the two sides. Last season, they did the double over this afternoon’s hosts.

An eight goal thriller was played out last time the Spitfires visited the EBB Stadium, with the Spitfires eventually winning 5-3 on that day.
