Jake Taylor has been confirmed as the new club captain of Eastleigh Football Club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The midfielder, who has worn the armband during a number of our pre-season fixtures this summer, will become the captain on a full-time basis following Aaron Martin’s retirement at the end of last season.

The 32-year-old made 38 appearances during his first season at the club and scored his first goal for Eastleigh in a 2-1 away win against AFC Fylde.

Upon accepting the role, Taylor said: “It’s a massive honour to be the captain of this club. Hopefully, I’ll be able to play a part in the club having a successful season.

It’s an exciting group with lots of new faces who are really looking forward to the campaign ahead and it’ll be important that we all stick together throughout the season!”
