The Spitfires are in action for the last time in the 2023/24 Vanarama National League season. They host FC Halifax Town on Saturday 20th April, with a kick-off time of 12:15pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires travelled to Ruislip in the week to face Wealdstone at Grosvenor Vale.

A solid performance was capped by a late free kick from Chris Maguire, earning the Spitfires all three points late on.

Their two previous games before this also ended in 1-0 wins, with those coming against York City and Kidderminster Harriers.

Paul McCallum goes into the last game of the season with a six-goal cushion over his nearest contender in the race to become the league’s top goalscorer for the 2023/24 season.

FC Halifax Town:

The Shaymen go into this game needing to at least match Aldershot’s result against Dagenham if they want to secure a play-off spot.

They faced Oldham Athletic in their last match just two nights ago.

Despite falling behind twice, they came back on both occasions and earned a point.

They hosted Ebbsfleet United two days before this, but neither side was able to find an opener and it ended 0-0.

With just one win in their last six games, the Shaymen will be hoping to turn around their form going into this afternoon’s game.

Previous meetings:

The sides met earlier on in the season in West Yorkshire, with the Spitfires beating today’s visitors 3-2.

A Maguire penalty and a Paul McCallum brace gave the Spitfires a big enough lead to withstand the Shaymen’s late push to get something from the game.
