Eastleigh Football Club can confirm that Jake Vokins has joined the Spitfires on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has joined Eastleigh on loan from Southampton FC, a club he has been at since the age of eight.

Having featured twice with the first-team, the left-back made his Saints debut away to Manchester City in the EFL Cup back in 2019.

In 2020, Vokins earned his first start for Southampton in a 2-0 FA Cup win against Shrewsbury in which he grabbed a goal.

Despite being born in Oxfordshire, Vokins has spent time on loan at Sunderland, Ross County, and today’s opponents, Woking.

He has also earned youth international caps for England at U17, U18, and U19 levels.

Upon signing on loan, Vokins said: “It’s a great feeling to be here! I’m buzzing at the opportunity to play men’s football and develop myself further.”

“It’s going to be a test but one that I’m looking forward to and hopefully, I can try and help the team out for the final six games.”

Vokins will be available for selection in this afternoon’s league clash against Woking.
