The Spitfires are back in action in the Vanarama National League as they host Altrincham at the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 18th November, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires made the trip up to Boundary Park to face Oldham last time out with the final score being 1-1 after Alex Reid cancelled out Chris Maguire’s first-half penalty in the 69th minute.

All in all both sides would’ve probably called that a fair result.

A positive from that game for the Spitfires was that Paul McCallum returned to the starting lineup after missing time through injury.

Chris Maguire has been on red hot form recently and had bagged three goals in his last two appearances for the Spitfires.

Altrincham:

The Robins have had an impressive start to the season, they are sitting pretty in fifth in the table after 18 games.

They have not lost in their last 10 league games, a stat that they will be looking to keep intact as they travel south to face the Spitfires.

They beat Southend 2-0 last time out thanks to goals from Justin Amaluzor and Justin Donawa.

Chris Conn-Clarke is the Robins top scorer so far this season, the 21-year-old has scored eight goals in 18 games so far for them.

Previous meetings:

In their previous five meetings the two sides have both picked up seven points from each other.

They met at the Silverlake Stadium last time out in a five goal thriller that finished 3-2 to the Spitfires.

The Robins came out victorious despite a late scare when the sides met at Moss Lane last season, Danny Whitehall pulled a goal back for the Spitfires in the 90th minute but it wasn’t enough as they went on to lose 2-1.
