The Spitfires will play at home for the first time this season when they host Wealdstone on Saturday 12th August, with a kick-off time of 3:00pm at the Silverlake Stadium.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires were denied victory on opening day at Solihull Moors, when Kyle Morrison rescued a point for the hosts deep into stoppage time.

Dutch winger Enzio Boldewijn netted on his league debut for the club and when Solihull’s Nico Gordon was sent off for a second bookable offence late on, it appeared as though the Spitfires were heading back to Hampshire with all three points.

Despite being a man down in stoppage time, Morrison’s late heroics meant that the points were shared and the game ended 1-1.

Eastleigh will be looking to make the Silverlake Stadium a fortress again this season, having recorded 14 wins at home in the league last year.

Wealdstone:

The Stones hosted York City in their opening game of the season and came from behind to claim all three points against the Minstermen.

Dipo Akinyemi gave the visitors the lead shortly before the break, but a penalty from Max Kretzschmar levelled the game on the hour mark.

Callum Howe was sent off for York in the 83rd minute and Wealdstone made the most of their man advantage when Jaydn Mundle-Smith bagged the winner five minutes later.

Previous Meetings:

Wealdstone’s last visit to the Silverlake Stadium came almost a year to the date of this fixture when Tristan Abrahams scored the only goal as Eastleigh recorded their first win of the 2022-23 campaign.

In the reverse fixture, the Stones gained revenge for that defeat with a 3-1 win over the Spitfires at Grosvenor Vale.

Lee Bradbury started his reign in charge of the Spitfires with a comfortable 4-1 win over Wealdstone in March 2022.

Eastleigh have edged recent meetings overall; with three wins, one draw and one defeat in the past five games between the two sides.
