Eastleigh welcome Hertfordshire side Boreham Wood to the Silverlake Stadium in the 22nd matchday of the Vanarama National League on Saturday 3th December with a 12:30pm kick-off. Preview in association with Unibet.

Eastleigh FC:

Eastleigh return home to the Silverlake Stadium after two consecutive defeats on the road and three successive defeats in their last three matches.

The Spitfires’ long unbeaten streak was ended by Notts County the last time Eastleigh set foot onto the pitch in front of the home crowd, however, will be hoping to rediscover the spirit at home to end the current losing streak and push back towards the play-off spots.

The Spitfires now sit in 12th position but are still only just two points off the play-off positions.

A late Danny Whitehall consolation against Altrincham was his seventh of the season and extended his lead at the top of the goalscoring charts of Eastleigh to three goals, in front of Charlie Carter who is on four for the season.

Boreham Wood:

Boreham Wood progressed into the Third Round of the FA Cup for the second consecutive season last weekend by defeating Bristol Rovers 2-0 away from home.

However, they enter the match in poor league form and are without a win in their last six matches which has seen the Wood drop from sixth to 11th place, just one place above the Spitfires due to a superior goal difference, despite being level on points with their hosts.

However, the only victory for Boreham Wood in the last month and a half did come at the expense of Eastleigh, when the Wood progressed to the Second Round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 victory at Meadow Park.

Boreham Wood’s top goal scorer this season Lee Ndlovu is expected to lead the line again and try to add to his tally of six goals this campaign as the Wood look to turn their form around and march back up the table.

Previous Meetings:

Having met just four weeks ago, the two sides have now met a total of 24 times. Boreham Wood levelled the head-to-head at nine wins apiece, and the spoils have been shared the remaining six times. Although Eastleigh are without a win against the opponents in their last four games so will also need to stop that run, in order to record a positive result.
