Eastleigh are hosts for a third consecutive league game as the Spitfires welcome the high-flying Notts County to the Silverlake Stadium in the Vanarama National League on Saturday 12th November with a 3pm kick-off. Preview in association with Unibet.

Eastleigh FC:

Eastleigh’s long unbeaten run at home continued in midweek when the Spitfires produced a stunning comeback to win 5-2 over Maidstone United on Tuesday night.

Eastleigh moved to 11 matches unbeaten at the Silverlake Stadium by scoring more than two goals for the first time in this Vanarama National League campaign.

Victory saw the Spitfires climb to eighth position and level on points with Boreham Wood who occupy the final play-off position in seventh.

Vincent Harper continued his fine form since returning from injury scoring with his first touch off the bench to make it three goals in the last two matches.

Danny Whitehall extended his lead at the top of the Spitfires’ goalscoring charts by bagging his sixth league goal of the season.

Notts County:

Notts County will provide the sternest test to the Spitfires’ unbeaten streak at home having only lost once so far this season, the least of any team in the league.

That defeat came away to Dorking Wanderers on September 17th and the Magpies are now unbeaten in their last nine matches.

Notts County also boast the division’s top goal scorer as Macaulay Langstaff already has 18 goals in as many matches this campaign, leading the golden boot race by five goals.

Although, having drawn their last two games against Bromley and Southend United, the Magpies relinquished their spot at the top of the table in midweek to Wrexham, so now sit one point and one place off the top of the league.

Previous Meetings:

The two sides have faced off seven times in their history and have become regular competitors having played each other five times in the last year and a half.

No match between the two teams has ended in a draw with the Spitfires just edging the Magpies in the head-to-head winning four games while the Notts County have won the remaining three.

To boost Eastleigh’s confidence further the Spitfires have won every meeting between the two sides at home with the Magpies never having scored at the Silverlake Stadium.
