Eastleigh play the role of hosts for a second consecutive league game as the Spitfires welcome Maidstone United to the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday 8th November with a 7:45pm kick-off.
Eastleigh FC:
Following disappointment on the road in the FA Cup at the weekend, Eastleigh return to the Silverlake Stadium looking to preserve their unbeaten streak of 10-matches at home.
Charlie Carter scored the only goal for the Spitfires in a 3-1 defeat at Boreham Wood as the Spitfires exited the FA Cup.
However, they have the opportunity again to bounce back from a loss at the weekend, in midweek for the third week in succession.
Last time out in the National League, Vincent Harper scored a brace on his return from injury to secure all three points for Eastleigh moving them to within two points and two places of the playoffs.
The Spitfires’ top goal scorer Danny Whitehall will look to add to his six goals this season by scoring against another side promoted from the National League South, having already scored away at Dorking Wanderers this campaign.
Maidstone United:
The newly promoted Maidstone United are in contrasting form to the Spitfires going without a win in their last 12 league games.
Despite having only picked up four points since August 29th, the Stones have seemingly turned a corner following two draws against Solihull Moors and Yeovil Town in the last two weeks.
Sitting just one point off the bottom of the National League, Regan Booty’s 96th-minute equaliser against Yeovil Town lifted Maidstone up into 22nd place. It moved Booty to joint top of the goalscoring charts for the Stones along with Jack Barham and Sam Corne on three goals this campaign.

Maidstone’s promotion back into the Vanarama National League means this will will be the first time the two teams have faced off in three years. In that season the Spitfires completed the double over the Stones. The two sides have met seven times previously with Eastleigh dominating the head-to-head record winning five of the matches while Maidstone won the remaining two fixtures.
