Eastleigh:

The Spitfires will be looking to bounce back after their defeat against Oldham Athletic a week ago.

The Hampshire side gave it a good fight after going one nil down and earning themselves a 2-1 lead thanks to a Danny Whitehall double only in a matter of minutes.

However, all the hard work was undone when Mike Fondop scored first to equalise and with a minute to go, Charlie Wellens took all three points for Oldham Athletic after scoring from range.

Eastleigh have enjoyed a positive start to the season at home, however, as they remain unbeaten with two wins and two draws at the Silverlake Stadium. They sit in 12th place ahead of their latest test against The Shaymen.

FC Halifax Town:

FC Halifax Town will also be looking to turn things around after they suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at the hands of Aldershot Town away from home.

The Shaymen haven’t had the start to the season they would’ve hoped for after only securing two wins in the first nine games as they find themselves 21st in the Vanarama National League.

Emmanuel Dieseruvwe is FC Halifax Town’s top scorer this season with three goals in the league so far.

Previous Meetings:

Eastleigh’s last game against FC ended in a 2-1 defeat at the Silverlake Stadium in May 2022.

The Spitfires’ last win against the West Yorkshire side came in March 2021 when a goal from Tyrone Barnett was enough to earn three points.
