The 2025/26 Enterprise National League season continues on Saturday 18th October. The Spitfires make the trip to Hertfordshire to take on promotion chasers Boreham Wood with kick-off at 3pm.

Boreham Wood:

The Wood have started the season strongly and find themselves two points off the top of the table, having picked up eight wins, four draws and a single defeat from their opening 13 fixtures.

The Hertfordshire side haven’t tasted defeat since the opening day of the campaign when they lost 2-0 at home to league leaders Rochdale and have then gone on to win five out six home games since then.

Having returned to the National League, following their National League South play-off final victory over Maidstone United in May, the Wood have shown few signs of weaknesses and are proving they belong in the division.

Eastleigh:

Following last weekend’s 2-0 FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying victory in the Capital over Hampton & Richmond Borough, Scott Bartlett’s side remain unbeaten since he took charge in mid September.

The Spitfires away form has improved significantly over the recent weeks their last defeat on the road came against Tamworth at the start of September over a month ago. They will be hoping this form continues at Meadow Park on Saturday afternoon.

Scott Bartlett’s side find themselves 13th in the league standings having picked up five wins, three draws and five defeats from their opening 13 games. A win today could move Eastleigh into the top-half of the table with a victory in Hertfordshire against Boreham Wood.

Bartlett’s Pre-Match Thoughts:

Bartlett: We’re on a journey. We’re still finding out where we’re at. We’re improving as we go along and we’re doing it the right way.

“We are working hard, being stubborn, being difficult to beat with a good structure. We’re a bit more than that.”
