Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Bartlett as the Club’s new First-Team Manager, joining from Weston-super-Mare AFC.

Bartlett joins from Weston-super-Mare AFC, where he has been manager since 2019. During his tenure, he led the club to promotion to the National League South in 2023 after winning the Southern League Premier South title.

Weston-super-Mare AFC currently sit 2nd in the National League South after a positive start to the 2025/26 campaign in which the Seagulls took 22 points from the opening nine fixtures.

Prior to his role at Weston, Bartlett held positions at Forest Green Rovers, including Academy Manager and caretaker First-Team Manager.

The 46-year-old will manage his first game for the Spitfires on Saturday as Eastleigh travel to the capital to take on Wealdstone.

Eastleigh FC would like to thank Weston-super-Mare AFC for their cooperation during this process.

Upon joining the Spitfires, Bartlett said: “[The club’s] got a good fanbase, outstanding facilities, and the pitch is amazing. I played here when it was just a tea hut in the corner and a pitch so it’s amazing to see it now and I’ve followed that journey.

My team’s have always been really exciting but most importantly, we pride ourselves on working harder than the opposition. I’m looking forward to getting on the training pitch with the players and seeing what we’ve we got!”

Vice-Chairman Tom Coffey commented: “From our very first conversations with Scott, it was clear that we wanted to move this forward as quickly and efficiently as possible. It has been a thorough process, and we have worked hard behind the scenes to bring it to completion. We would also like to thank Weston-super-Mare for their cooperation throughout.

We are delighted to welcome Scott and the exciting brand of football he brings with him. He is highly respected within the football pyramid, and we can’t wait for him to get started at the Silverlake!”

— AN UPDATE FROM TOM COFFEY, VICE-CHAIRMAN —

“On a side note, and to keep supporters fully informed, I’d like to make a personal comment regarding Stewart Donald.

The past two years since his return to the club have been an extremely challenging time on a personal level for him.

Stewart has endured an incredibly difficult time. His mother sadly passed away a few months ago, his father is currently battling terminal cancer, and his wife is also in hospital with the same illness. Despite all of this, he has continued to give me, the club and everyone connected, his full support, for which I am deeply grateful.

Fans of old and new will be fully aware of Stewart’s ambition and commitment of making the club successful and ultimately earning promotion to the Football League.

Even over the past 48 hours, despite facing several personal challenges that have limited his ability to be as present as he would like, Stewart has remained unwaveringly supportive of this process.

With significant financial packages to be agreed, he has shown his continued commitment to give the club the best chance of success, on and off the pitch.

I ask that, like us, supporters keep Stewart in their thoughts and rally behind the players tonight as we look to secure three points at the Silverlake. Nothing will please him more than seeing Scott & the team get off to a winning start!

I would like to thank him for his continued commitment.”
