The 2025/26 Enterprise National League season continues on Saturday 6th September. The Spitfires find themselves on the road as they travel to the north-east of Birmingham to take on Tamworth with kick-off at 3pm.
Tamworth:
Tamworth have had a mixed start to the season with two wins, a draw and three defeats from their opening six league games and as a result find themselves in 15th position in the league standings on seven points.
The Lambs finished last season in 10th position, just four points off the play-offs and so will be hoping to better this come the end of this campaign and reach the play-offs.
During the third-round of last season’s FA Cup, the Lambs managed to take Europa League champions Tottenham Hotspur to extra-time following a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes. Unfortunately, the Staffordshire side ended up falling to a 3-0 defeat.
Eastleigh:
In their last game against Scunthorpe United, the Spitfires faced a significant set-back as they went 1-0 down late on before summer signing Harvey Saunders bundled home a late equaliser before the match having to be abandoned due to a major medical incident.
Kelvin Davis’ side have struggled on the road this season having only picked up three points from a possible nine and so will be looking to improve on this in Staffordshire on Saturday afternoon.
Despite it being early days, the Spitfires will also be hoping to keep the pressure on the teams above them in the table as they look to reach the play-offs come the end of the season.

Davis: “It’s about us keeping trying to improve, keep trying to improve the squad, keep trying to improve what we are doing.
“It’s can we produce more and more moments in the game and have 90 minutes of real focus and real drive and enthusiasm in the way we want to play.”
