Eastleigh Football Club are pleased to announce the arrival of striker Harvey Saunders, who joins the Spitfires on a season-long loan from Tranmere Rovers!

The 28-year-old forward brings proven experience across the Football League, having represented clubs including Fleetwood Town, Bristol Rovers and most recently Tranmere Rovers in League Two.

Saunders’ path into professional football began in Sunday League football while working full-time before moving through local sides such as Darlington Railway Athletic. His performances earned him a move to Darlington FC, where his form attracted EFL interest. He went on to make his name with Fleetwood Town and later Bristol Rovers, where his tireless work rate made him a consistent threat in League One and League Two.

Following the completion of the deal, Davis commented: “Harvey adds plenty of energy and ball-carrying ability at the top of the pitch. He’s a good age with good experience from the EFL, so we’re pleased we’ve been able to attract him to Eastleigh.”

“We’re working hard with the owner to get a few more players through the door. We’re aware of our situation, but we’re making steady progress. This is first of a few strikers that we are looking to bring through the door, and we are happy to have Harvey at the club!”
