Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce that we have completed the loan signing of defender Archie Harris from AFC Bournemouth on a season long loan!
The 20-year-old defender joins the Spitfires ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, having already gained valuable first-team experience during spells in the National League and National League South.
Born in Weymouth and raised in Bournemouth, Harris came through the ranks at AFC Bournemouth after joining their Academy at the age of 11 and gained his first taste of senior football with a loan move to Poole Town in late 2023, before impressing with a highly successful stint at Torquay United in the National League.
During his time at Plainmoor, Harris became a regular starter and was named the BVEC Player of the Month for December after a string of standout performances. He then joined Truro City for the final weeks of the 2023/24 season, continuing his development in the National League South with a series of solid defensive displays before returning to AFC Bournemouth.
Archie is the son of former defender, Andy Harris, who played for Eastleigh between 2006 and 2009, making 101 appearances during his three-year stint in SO50.
Upon joining the Spitfires, Harris said: “I’m really excited to be here at Eastleigh and can’t wait to get started. It’s a great opportunity for me to continue developing and to contribute to a team that’s hungry for success.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about the club and the fans, and I’m looking forward to showing what I can bring on the pitch.”
