The points are shared at the Laithwaite Community Stadium, after Woking net a late equaliser against the Spitfires.

Tyrese Shade gave Eastleigh an early lead, before Aiden O’Brien levelled things up just before half-time.

At the hour mark, Shade would go on to bag his second of the day in style. He blasted the ball into the top right corner of the goal to give Eastleigh back the lead of the game. Late on, Jamie Andrews scored a free kick to steal a point for Woking.

Kelvin Davis made three changes, from his side that beat Yeovil Town earlier in the week. Jake Vokins made his first start since returning from injury, with Richard Brindley and Paul McCallum joining him in this afternoon’s starting eleven, after they were both named on the bench earlier in the week.

For the first time since September, Solomon Nwabuokei was named in the match day squad, making his return from injury.

Early on, Chris Maguire deceived the Woking defence, to create himself an opportunity to put the ball into the area. His pass from the right side of the box would get gathered by Ollie Webber in the Woking goal.

Not long later, the Spitfires took the lead of the game. Ben Close played a long range free-kick low into the path of Shade, who caught the Woking defence off guard with a smart run in behind. He then slotted the ball home into the bottom left corner of the goal, to take his tally for the season up to 13.

O’Brien had a go on goal, ten minutes or so after Eastleigh opened the scoring. His vicious attempt was met by a strong block by Jake Vokins, to deny him from potentially levelling the scoring.

Sam Ashford attempted to level the scoring in the 40th minute, but had a bit of a wild effort on goal from close range, and blazed his shot over the crossbar.

A couple of minutes later, Woking would go on to level the scoring. Jacob Jones curled a cross in for O’Brien, who picked out the bottom right corner of he goal with his headed effort.

Moments before the break, Joe McDonnell provided a fantastic save to deny Tariq Hinds from scoring, with a shot from the right side of the six yard box.

Eastleigh made a double change at the break, with Jai Semenyo and Nathan Tshikuna coming on to replace Paul McCallum and Luis Fernandez.

Maguire had the first attempt on goal of the second-half. He had a shot from close range, which forced Webber into action. The shot was parried away, and went out for a corner which resulted in nothing.

In the 55th minute, Maguire won a free kick in a good looking spot. He stepped up to take, but could not get enough dip on his effort, as he saw it curl it’s way over the crossbar.

Just after the hour mark, Eastleigh’s strong start to the second-half was rewarded. Shade showed a superb bit of skill to cut in from the left flank, before cannoning a shot into the top right hand corner of the goal to restore the Spitfires’ lead of the game.

Shade had a go at bagging his third of the afternoon in the 67th minute. After being picked out by Maguire, he headed the ball at goal, but would see Webber get up to catch his effort.

Hinds came close to levelling things in the 79th minute, with a powerful low driven shot. His effort would go just wide of the mark, meaning the Spitfires would stay in front going into the last ten minutes of the game.

The home side went on to net an equaliser in the 86th minute. Andrews struck a free kick well, and found the top left corner of the goal to snatch a point for his side late on.
