The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we host Southend United at the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 22nd March, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires come into this one off the back of two away games. With their last game being against Wealdstone at Grosvenor Vale. Following an impressive start from the Spitfires, the home side responded well and fought back to earn a draw.

During that game, Ludwig Francillette scored a brace to take his tally to eight goals from the season. Tyrese Shade also found the back of the net, for the 11th time this season, as his hot streak in front of goal continues.

Following a couple of difficult results, the Spitfires remain in the top ten in the standings, and are just three points away from the play-off spots.

Southend United:

This afternoon’s visitors have been on an impressive run of form as of late, with them going unbeaten in their last eight games. Along with this, they have only lost two league games in 2025.

In their last game, Southend drew with Forest Green Rovers at The New Lawn. Macauley Bonne and Gus Scott-Morriss both found the back of the net for Southend during the tightly contested game.

From right back, Scott-Morriss has racked up an impressive tally of 16 goals so far this season, and will be one of Southend’s danger men this afternoon. The Essex side are level on points with the Spitfires, but sit one place higher in the league, due to goal difference.
