Goals from Shade, Maher, and Francillette secured a dominant victory at the Silverlake, giving the Spitfires back-to-back wins.

Shade set the tone with a well-taken strike before a costly error from Harvey handed Maher his first and the Spitfires’ second.

Francillette then put the result beyond doubt midway through the second half, firing a half-volley into the bottom corner.

After a quiet start to the game, the Spitfires took the lead with their first real chance at the nine-minute mark.

Tyrese Shade let loose on a mazy run from the left-hand side, weaving past his man to enter the penalty area before he drilled the ball low through Harvey’s legs in goal and into the net.

The Spitfires kept up the pressure and doubled their lead just four minutes later, thanks to Niall Maher.

Ben Close sent in a looping cross that dropped into the six-yard box, where goalkeeper Harvey fumbled the ball straight to Maher’s feet and with the goal wide open, he made no mistake, tapping it into the empty net.

Minutes later, the Spitfires came close to a third when Semenyo played a perfectly weighted pass through to Scott Quigley, but Harvey reacted quickly, blocking the shot with his legs.

It took until the 38th minute for the visitors to register their first effort on goal.

Dion Pereira tried his luck from distance, but his strike flew harmlessly over the bar and into the South Stand.

Seconds later, Shade had a golden opportunity to send the hosts into half-time with a three-goal lead.

Played through on goal, he struck a low effort, but Harvey once again came to the rescue, blocking it with his legs.

The Spitfires went into the break with a well-earned two-goal advantage, thanks to goals from Shade and Maher.

Moments into the second half, McDonnell produced a stunning double save to keep the visitors at bay.

He first reacted brilliantly to deny Kalambayi’s close-range effort with a one-handed stop, before quickly getting back up to palm away Khaleel’s follow-up strike from the edge of the area.

With 25 minutes to play, the Spitfires added a third after a brilliantly guided long throw into the box.

The ball dropped perfectly at the feet of an unmarked Francillette who turned on the spot and fired the ball low past a rooted Harvey in goal.

The next opportunity didn’t come until injury time when Chris Maguire saw his free-kick just outside the area drift inches wide of the Dagenham goal.

That proved to be the last of the chances with the Spitfires picking up all three points at home for the second time in a week.
