The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we face Gateshead under the lights at Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday 25th February, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm.
Eastleigh:
The Spitfires have been on a strong run of form recently, and have earned wins in each of their last three games.
Over the weekend, the Spitfires travelled up to Lincolnshire to face Boston United, and thanks to goals from Jake Taylor and Tyrese Shade, they were able to win 2-1 on their travels.
Before that, back to back home wins against Aldershot Town and Dagenham & Redbridge, without conceding in either game helped the Spitfires towards accumulating the impressive tally of points that they have got over the last week or so.
The run of form has taken the Spitfires to just one place outside of the play-off spots.
Gateshead:
This evening’s visitors have only lost in one of their last six league matches, with their most recent two games being high-scoring wins.
In their most recent match over the weekend, they made the trip down to the West Midlands to face Solihull Moors. A Luke Hannant brace, along with a fourth minute goal from Jovan Malcolm gave the Heed a 3-0 lead going into added time, before Solihull pulled a late goal back to deny them from earning a clean sheet.
Gateshead currently occupy fourth spot, and are in the hunt for getting themselves back up into the top three. A big part of their success has come through Luke Hannant, who has got himself 21 direct goal contributions so far this season.

When the two sides met earlier on in the season, Gateshead managed to take the lead of the game late on. Louis Storey netted the winning goal in the 90th minute, in what at the time was a clash between first and second in the standings.
