The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we make the trip up to Lincolnshire to face Boston United at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday 22nd February, with a kick-off time of 3pm.
Boston United:
The home side have been on a solid run of form as of late, and have picked up wins in two out of their last four league games.
In their most recent outing, they got the better of AFC Fylde at Mill Farm during the week. Jacob Hazel scored a brace within the first 25 minutes of the game, to put the Pilgrims in a good place. Nick Haughton would pull a goal back from the spot just before half-time, but it wouldn’t be enough for his side to earn a result.
Hazel’s brace took his goal tally up to nine for the season in the league. The Saint Kitts and Nevis international has been directly involved in just under half of Boston’s league goals this season, and will be one to watch out for this afternoon.
Boston United’s last five results:
18/02/25 | AFC Fylde 1-2 Boston United | VNL
15/02/25 | FC Halifax Town 1-0 Boston United | VNL

Eastleigh:
The Spitfires come into this one with confidence, after winning and keeping clean sheets in their last two games.
The first win of the two came last weekend against Aldershot Town. Jai Semenyo and Tyrese Shade were in the goals as the Spitfires went on to earn a big win over their Hampshire rivals on home soil.
During the week, the Spitfires earned an emphatic win over Dagenham & Redbridge. Shade was in the goals again, with Niall Maher and Ludwig Francillette scoring the Spitfires’ other goals during the 3-0 win at the Silverlake Stadium.
These results have helped the Spitfires to return to the top 10 of the Vanarama National League table, going into this afternoon’s fixture.
Previous meetings:
The two sides only previous meeting came earlier on this season, following Boston United’s promotion to the Vanarama National League.
A ten man Eastleigh side managed to salvage a point at the death, with Chris Maguire placing the ball home from the spot deep into added time.
