Following the first phase release of 2025/26 Season Tickets, Eastleigh FC Chairman Stewart Donald commented:
I fully appreciate how difficult it is to find the money for leisure activities in the current financial climate and how expensive it has become to watch football at all levels.
As a club, we have always been mindful of this and have tried to ensure our prices remain as low as possible.
However, the finances of the football club have been hugely challenging since I returned to the club. The club had a huge trading deficit along with substantial essential works that required huge capital expenditure. These works have been concluded and I have reviewed every area of the club over the last 18 months and made many changes which have resulted in a much improved financial performance.
A direct result of this work means it is possible to offer our fans massively reduced season tickets prices in most areas which hopefully will have multiple benefits.
Family finances are under huge pressure and this was a key factor in this decision to reduce season ticket prices where possible. I am hopeful that this will result in as many fans as possible committing to a season ticket.
I hope our existing season ticket holders and the wider fanbase will be persuaded to take advantage of this offer and be willing to use some of the savings to get additional tickets for family members, or encourage friends to come along. Knowing it will cost less than £5 for an adult to watch a game and children either £1 or £2 a game, depending on their age, I am hopeful it will increase matchday attendances and everything that comes with that.
When I bought the club originally, I stated an ambition to increase attendances from 500 to over 2,000 which most people thought was not achievable. However, we had a fantastic response from the fanbase and the wider community who indeed have now ensured we are now averaging above 2,000 with a stadium that is vastly improved whilst also gaining promotion to the National League.
Upon my return nearly two years ago, it was critical that the club improved its finances. With this achieved, my focus now returns to those initial aims and to continue to improve every aspect of the club.
We need the support of the people and businesses of Eastleigh as well as the surrounding areas if we are to achieve our potential. We now need to start achieving crowds of 3,000+ at the Silverlake and improve the matchday atmosphere that will drive our players forward, and give us the foundation and impetus to deliver what we all want.
I am certain the town and borough will respond again and I am sure the club will be looking to make other improvements to really commit to an enjoyable matchday and club experience.
Once again, I would like to thank you all and I look forward to seeing you during the remainder of this season and the next to help us on our push!
