The Spitfires are back on the road in the Vanarama National League, as they travel to Kent to face Ebbsfleet United at the Kuflink Stadium on Wednesday 27th November, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm.

Ebbsfleet United:

This evening’s hosts were not in action over the weekend. They were due to play against AFC Fylde, but, following a late pitch inspection, they were forced to make the long trip back down to Kent without playing the game.

Because of this, Ebbsfleet have not been in action for over two weeks. Their last game came against Solihull Moors on 9th November.

Things were looking up for Ebbsfleet early on, when Solihull Moors had a man sent off in the 5th minute. But, in the 42nd minute Jez Davies was also given his marching orders meaning the second-half would be played out with both sides only having ten men on the field.

Solihull Moors were dominant after the break, and went on to put six past Mark Cousins in the Ebbsfleet goal.

Ebbsfleet United’s last five results:

16/11/24 | Ebbsfleet United 0-6 Solihull Moors | VNL

09/11/24 | Tamworth 1-1 Ebbsfleet United | VNL

26/10/24 | Ebbsfleet United 2-2 Wealdstone | VNL

22/10/24 | Forest Green Rovers 3-1 Ebbsfleet United | VNL

19/10/24 | York City 4-0 Ebbsfleet United | VNL

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires were held to a draw by Wealdstone in their last match. Noa Boutin scored his first goal as an Eastleigh player early on, with an excellent finish.

His goal was cancelled out just after the hour mark by Sam Ashford, who found the back of the net with a headed effort. The two sides split the points at the end of it, with neither team managing to find a second.

Connor Underhill and Joe Ryan both came off the bench and provided energy against Wealdstone, adding to their first-team appearance tallies.

Chris Maguire and Scott Quigley have both served their suspensions, and will be in contention for a place in Kelvin Davis’ squad this evening.

Previous meetings:

The two sides won a game each against each other last season, with the home side coming out on top on both of those occasions.

In the most recent meeting between the two sides, this evening’s hosts came out on top.
