A late goal from Chris Maguire earns the Spitfires a point against Woking under the lights.

Tyrese Shade scores his first goal in Eastleigh colours early on before Woking found two goals of their own.

Maguire responded late on with a headed effort, leaving things all square when the referee blew the final whistle.

Maguire curled the ball into a dangerous area from a corner, just a couple of minutes into the game. His cross was flapped at by Will Jaaskelainen, who tipped it across goal. However, no Eastleigh players were able to get onto the ball first, and it was cleared away to safety.

The Cardinals put the ball into the back of the net in the 10th minute, but saw it ruled out as offside. Charley Kendall was booked in the process, after he proceeded to kick the ball into the back of the net after the referee had signalled that he was offside.

Shade opened his Spitfires account in impressive fashion in the 18th minute. He received the ball on the edge of the box, before pinging a low-driven shot into the bottom right corner. After scoring, he ran towards the corner of the pitch and showed off an impressive back flip in celebration before being surrounded by his teammates.

Paul McCallum had his first real chance of the evening in the 36th minute. He was found by Jake Vokins in the box, before turning and shooting. His shot did not generate enough power to give Jaaskelainen too many issues, and he made a comfortable save.

Not too long before the break, Lewis Walker equalised for the visitors with a close-range effort, after being found by a powerful cross.

The first chance of the second-half came for the Spitfires. A lovely bit of link up play saw Shade receive the ball on the right wing and make a darting run towards the Woking area. He struck the ball across goal, with his cross being met by Jake Vokins at the back post. He could not get the right direction on his shot, and saw it go wide of the mark.

The Cardinals followed up with a chance of their own a couple of minutes later. Jamie Andrews volleyed the ball on the edge of the box with some venom, but saw his shot fly over the crossbar.

Ben Wynter then went on to give the Cardinals the lead, with a real poachers finish at the back post.

Raheem Conte came close to adding another for the visitors just after the hour mark, but could not find the target with his headed effort.

Around 10 minutes later, Joe McDonnell made a fine save to deny Kendall from getting a third for the Cardinals. He was forced into making a diving save to deny the close-range effort.

Maguire levelled up the scoring in the 80th minute after connecting with a cross. He flicked the ball over the Woking defence and over Jaaskelainen with a headed effort, and found the far side of the net.

He came close to grabbing another five minutes later, he struck a free kick towards goal but saw it sail just over the crossbar.

From there, neither side managed to create any more chances, meaning it would end all square under the lights.
