The Spitfires are back in Vanarama National League action, as we host Woking under the lights at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday 24th September, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires took down Rochdale in impressive fashion over the weekend, after falling behind early on.

Kairo Mitchell’s early goal was cancelled out by Paul McCallum in the 22nd minute, before Ludwig Francillette found the back of the net just less than 15 minutes later to turn the game around.

After the break, Chris Maguire also managed to find the back of the net. Devante Rodney pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 71st minute, and it looked as if the two sides would be in for an intense final 20 minutes. That was until McCallum bagged his second of the afternoon from the spot just four minutes later to restore the Spitfires’ two goal cushion.

The Spitfires have played at home five times this season, and have won four of those games, with the other one being a draw. This evening, they will be looking to continue that form against Woking.

Woking:

Over the weekend, the Cardinals travelled up to Lancashire to face AFC Fylde.

Nick Haughton gave the home side the lead just after the break. Lewis Walker then levelled things up a quarter of an hour later to help the Cardinals towards earning a solid point on the road.

This evening’s visitors have had a mixed bag of results so far this season. During August, they went on a three game winning streak, but in their last five they have only managed to earn one win.

Their top goal scorer so far this season is Charley Kendall, who has managed to find the back of the net on three occasions.

The Spitfires have had the better time of it recently, winning three out of the last four games they’ve had against the Cardinals.

The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 1-0 win for Eastleigh at the Kingfield Stadium, with Solomon Nwabuokei finding the back of the net early on in that one.
