Wimborne took an early lead that was quickly cancelled out by Tyrese Shade just ten minutes later.

Jake Taylor then gave the Spitfires the lead for the first time in the game before Billy Walker levelled up the scoring just before the break.

The Spitfires’ second group would go on to secure the win, with goals coming from Chris Maguire and Richard Brindley.

The hosts had the first attempt on goal of the game, they broke through on goal but saw Joe McDonnell deny their attempt.

Lewis Beale gave Wimborne the lead in the fifth minute, he placed the ball into the bottom right corner to get the hosts up and running.

Shade had the Spitfires first attempt on goal in the eighth minute.

He attempted to curl the ball past Flitney with an effort from the edge of the box but his shot was denied by the Wimborne ‘keeper.

Shade then had another go on goal in the 15th minute, this time he would make no mistake.

Trialist B got in behind the Wimborne defence down on the right wing, he dribbled towards goal before squaring the ball into the path of Shade whose thunderous effort went in off the bar.

The Spitfires then went on to take the lead in the 34th minute.

Trialist B squared the ball to Taylor this time, he slotted the ball home into the bottom left corner in calm fashion to put the Spitfires in front.

Wimborne went down the other end and levelled it again in the 38th minute, with Beale scoring his second of the afternoon.

Taylor saw an effort from just inside the box blocked by the Wimborne defence after he was slipped in on goal by Connor Underhill.

Trialist A came close with a headed effort in the 43rd minute, but his shot goes just wide of the post.

Following that, the first-half came to an end with the Spitfires bringing out a new group for the second-half.

Malachi Dotse broke through on goal in the 49th minute, he attempted to round Flitney but was taken down in the process, earning the Spitfires a penalty.

Maguire took the penalty and fired it home into the bottom left corner to restore the Spitfires lead.

Wimborne broke through down on the left flank in the 57th minute, Tommy Scott was forced into action claimed their effort.

Liam Webber had a headed effort gathered by Flitney just three minutes later.

Dotse then had an attempt on goal a minute later, he was played through on goal by Maguire and attempted to clip the ball over Flitney but he was denied by a smart stop.

Brindley found the back of the net in the 67th minute.

He struck the ball into the bottom right corner to double the Spitfires lead going into the last 20 minutes of play.

There wasn’t much to report on in the final 20 minutes as the Spitfires went on to see the game out and secure the win.
