The Spitfires are back in pre-season action as we make the trip across to Dorset to face Weymouth at the Bob Lucas Stadium, with a kick-off time of 7pm.

Weymouth:

The Terras have had an undefeated start to their pre-season, they have had two wins and a draw in their three games that they have played so far.

In their most recent game, they made the short trip to Wimborne Town. It was a tightly contested affair and ended 0-0.

This evening’s fixture will be their first home game of their pre-season campaign. Their wins against Sholing and Hamworthy in their other pre-season fixtures came away from home.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires were last in action just four days ago when we hosted Premier League side Southampton at the Silverlake Stadium in front of a sell-out crowd.

The Saints came out on top but a second-half goal from Scott Quigley did give the home fans something to cheer about against their tough opponents.

In our fixture before this, we faced Wimborne Town at New Cuthbury. New signings Tyrese Shade and Richard Brindley both found their way onto the score sheet in the 4-2 win.

Previous meetings:

The two sides have not met since Weymouth were relegated from the National League following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.

The Dorset side came out on top in the last fixture at the Bob Lucas Stadium, Brandon Goodship’s 75th minute strike secured the win for this evening’s hosts on that day.
