The 22-year-old comes in after spending two years at Hampton & Richmond where he won the Players’ Player of the Season award for the 2023/24 season, following an impressive campaign playing in the National League South.
Last season, the central-defender found the back of the net three times and kept ten clean sheets in his 42 league appearances.
He began his career with Stevenage and came up through the ranks through their youth system before making ten appearances for them, with five of those coming in League Two.
During his time at Stevenage, he spent time on loan at Oxford City and Kings Lynn.
Fernandez is the first summer signing for the Spitfires after penning a long-term deal with the club.
Upon joining the Spitfires, Fernandez said: “I’m buzzing to be at the club. I’m delighted that I’ve finally signed and I just can’t wait to get started!”
When asked about what attracted him to join Eastleigh FC, Fernandez said: “Kelvin [Davis] and Danny [Butterfield] were close to my manager at Hampton & Richmond FC so when I found out that they were interested in me, I spoke to Mel [Gwinnett] and he couldn’t speak more highly of them. They were two people that I really wanted to come and work with.”
This transfer is subject to approval from the FA and The National League.
