The Spitfires are on the road again in the Vanarama National League, they travel to the LNER Community Stadium to face York City on Saturday 6th April, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

York City:

The hosts have been in impressive form as of late, they have taken down Aldershot, Bromley and Chesterfield in recent weeks.

They travelled to Halifax last time out, Dipo Akinyemi put the Yorkshire side ahead in the 74th minute but saw his effort cancelled out in the dying moments by Rob Parker.

The Ministermen have the exact same points tally and goal difference as the Spitfires going into this fixture.

Akinyemi has been on form for the Ministermen recently, he has scored a goal in each of the sides’ last three games.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires are now heading into their final four games of the season, with their journey to Yorkshire being the first of the run in.

Last time out, Eastleigh faced Maidenhead United, despite goals from Solomon Nwabuokei and Chris Maguire, the Spitfires went on to lose.

Their game before that – earlier on in the easter weekend – saw a more positive result.

Nwabuokei was on the scoresheet again, his first-half headed effort ended up being enough for the Spitfires to secure a 1-0 win on the road against Woking.

Maguire has been in-form recently, with three goals in his last four he will be a man that York City will be hoping to shut out in this afternoon’s clash.

Previous meetings:

The Spitfires have came out on top in all three meetings between the sides since York’s return to the Vanarama National League.

When the sides faced each other earlier in the season, the Spitfires won 3-1 thanks to a first-half strike from Maguire and a brace from Paul McCallum.
