Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of left-back, Ben Greenwood on loan from AFC Bournemouth!

The 20-year-old joined the AFC Bournemouth academy during the 2018/19 season.

He earned himself a two year scholarship there, during this time he played for the Republic of Ireland under 19s.

Greenwood enjoyed loan spells at Poole Town and Wimborne before gaining some National League experience with Weymouth.

He was loaned out to Weymouth in March 2022, making eight National League appearances during his time there.

The Irishman was on the bench for AFC Bournemouth for their Premier League games against Nottingham Forest and Fulham last month.

He was also on the bench for their game against Liverpool last week.

Upon joining the Spitfires, Greenwood said: “The lads all made me feel very welcome, along with the staff. We had a good day, preparing for a massive game on Saturday!”
