The Spitfires are in action for the final time before Christmas as they take on Dorking Wanderers at the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 23rd December, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires took down Aldershot last time out with a 5-3 win at The EBB Stadium.

A brace from Paul McCallum and then goals from Bailey Clements, Chris Maguire and Scott Quigley sealed the win on the day.

This left the Spitfires sitting in 11th place with 33 points at the halfway mark of the Vanarama National League season.

The Spitfires previous fixture to this was an FA Trophy clash with Aldershot at the Silverlake Stadium.

The two sides has to be split on penalties, with Aldershot winning the shootout.

Dorking Wanderers:

The visitors were beaten by Woking late on in their last game.

Paul Osew scored in the 85th minute to give Woking the win at Meadowbank.

Their game before this was a 3-0 win against Maidenhead in the FA Trophy.

James McShane has got his name on the scoresheet in each of Dorking’s last three games and will be looking to keep that streak up going into this weekend’s tie against the Spitfires.

Previous meetings:

The two sides have already met this season in what was a stalemate at Meadowbank back in September.

Joe McDonnell saved a penalty at the death to keep the score level.

The game before this between the two was a more memorable one though.

The Spitfires beat Dorking 4-0 at the Silverlake Stadium on New Year’s Day thanks to goals from Alfie Lloyd and Charlie Carter.
