The Spitfires are back in action in the Vanarama National League as they travel to Derbyshire to face Chesterfield at the SMH Group Stadium on Saturday 25th November, with a kick-off time of 3pm.
Chesterfield:
The hosts have had a very strong start to the season, they now are eight points clear at the top of the league with a game in hand over Barnet in second.
They won their last game away at Woking on Tuesday night with Joe Quigley and Armando Dobra scoring for them.
Their game before that however was a 2-1 loss to Southend, their first loss since August.
The hosts are also the leagues top goal scorers with a combined total of 50 for the season so far.
Will Gregg is their top contributor to this, he has scored 10 goals in 19 appearances so far this season.
Eastleigh:
The Spitfires are in red hot form coming into this game, they beat Boreham Wood 2-1 in the week thanks to a brace from Paul McCallum.
They also beat Altrincham 2-1 at the weekend with Scott Quigley scoring in the first-half and McCallum scoring yet again in the 86th minute to seal the win that day.
They have now climbed up to 10th in the table and are just two points away from the play-off spots.
McCallum has been untouchable recently and now sits on his own as the top goal scorer in the league with 15 goals for the season.
Previous meetings:
A late comeback saw Chesterfield put three goals past the Spitfires in the final 20 minutes of the game the last time the two sides met in what was a painful loss for the Spitfires.
The reverse fixture last season however is a nicer one in the memory of the Spitfires fans with Brennan Camp scoring a 92nd minute winner at the Silverlake Stadium that day.
