The Spitfires are in FA Cup action this weekend, as they host Boreham Wood in the first-round of the competition, on Saturday 4th November, with a kick-off time of 3:00pm at the Silverlake Stadium.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires will be looking to bounce back following two defeats in a row in the National League. Last time out, Eastleigh suffered a 3-2 defeat away to Maidenhead United.

Goals from Remy Clerima and Ashley Nathaniel-George put the hosts into a comfortable lead within the opening 13 minutes.

Scott Quigley pulled one back for the Spitfires early in the second half, before Maidenhead restored their two-goal advantage late on through Reece Smith.

Quigley added another for the visitors in stoppage time, but it turned out to be only a consolation strike.

Boreham Wood:

Boreham Wood are undefeated in the last four games, with two draws and two wins from those encounters.

At the weekend, they picked up a solid point at home to Southend United – Jack Bridge gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot in the 21st minute before Enrico Sousa equalised shortly into the second half.

Previous Meetings:

For the third season in a row, Eastleigh and Boreham Wood will meet at this stage of the FA Cup. The Wood have won both of the previous cup meetings, which were played at Meadow Park.

In the league encounters last season, the Spitfires beat 10-man Boreham Wood at the Silverlake Stadium.

Jamal Fyfield was sent off following an altercation with Danny Whitehall and Tristan Abrahams converted the resulting spot kick.

In the reverse fixture, the two sides played out a goalless draw at Meadow Park in March.
