The young Spitfires beat their Hampshire rivals thanks to a brace from Jamie Hosking and a long range effort from Nathan Rogers.

The first-half was fairly tight with the young Spitfires hitting the woodwork twice.

Hosking found an opener early in the second-half before Rogers doubled it just under 10 minutes later.

Hosking bagged his second in the 72nd minute after rounding the keeper to seal the win.

The first chance of the game came for the young Spitfires in the ninth minute when Leo Downing shot from the right side of the box but saw his effort hit the underside of the bar.

Rogers hit the left post in the 15th minute with a powerful effort from the edge of the box.

Malachi Dotse broke into the box and aimed a low-driven effort towards the bottom left corner that was saved well by the Aldershot keeper in the 20th minute.

Aldershot hit the side netting in the 27th minute with what was their first chance of the game.

Hosking opened the scoring in the 48th minute after a bright start to the half for the young Spitfires.

Ethan Gee was then sent off along with one of the Aldershot players after a disagreement between the two of them following a tackle.

An Aldershot attacker then headed the ball over the bar in the 52nd minute.

Rogers doubled the young Spitfires lead. in the 57th minute with a shot from 25-yards out that was too much for the Aldershot keeper.

Lewis Williams squared the ball to Dotse in the 70th minute but he could only hit the post with his right footed effort.

Hosking rounded the Aldershot keeper and put the ball into an empty net in the 72nd minute to get his second of the day, putting the young Spitfires three goals to the good.

An Aldershot attacker flashed a header across there face of goal in the 76th minute but it missed to the left.

This proved to be the final chance of the match in what was a comfortable win for the young Spitfires.
